Editorial Guidelines
We are committed to accuracy, transparency, and utility. Our content is governed by strict guidelines to ensure you can trust what you see on the road and on our site.
Our Core Principles
1. Image Sourcing & Transparency
All visual assets on TruePhotoPaper fall into one of three categories:
– **Original Photography:** Captured by our team on location.
– **Licensed Content:** Sourced from official archives or professional stock services.
– **AI-Generated Imagery:** Used for conceptual illustrations. All AI-generated images are clearly marked with the caption “AI-Generated Image” to ensure full transparency. We do not use AI to alter documentary photographs.
2. Data Verification & Sourcing
Accuracy is paramount. All data-driven content, including maps, infographics of seasonal bans, elevation profiles, and accident case visuals, must be based on verifiable sources. We prioritize official government reports, public data from transport authorities, and direct, on-the-ground measurements. Each critical visual will cite its primary source where appropriate.
3. Accessibility & Performance
Our content must be accessible to everyone, regardless of device or connection speed. We enforce a strict policy of providing descriptive alt text for all images. Furthermore, all visuals are compressed and optimized for web performance to ensure our guides load quickly and efficiently, especially for users on mobile networks.
Corrections Policy
The road is constantly changing, and so is the data about it. If we publish information that is incorrect or outdated, we are committed to correcting it promptly and transparently. We will update the content and, for significant corrections, add a dated editor’s note to explain the change. We encourage our community to report any potential errors to [email protected].
Community Tips
Some of the best information comes from the drivers and explorers on the road every day. We welcome tips, photos, and firsthand accounts from our community. While we cannot publish everything we receive, all submissions are reviewed by our editorial team. If a community tip leads to a new visual guide or a correction, we will offer credit to the contributor where requested. Share your insights with us at [email protected].
Get Involved
Our work is better with community input. If you see an error, have a suggestion, or want to share a tip from the road, we want to hear from you.
